The only thing holding you back is you! More specially… your negative mindset is holding you back from achieving greatness.
If you aren’t where you want to be in life, it’s time to change that once and for all. It’s time to reprogram your mindset to achieve your biggest dreams.
In my own journey, I’ve found that your mind basically controls everything. Here are three powerful concepts I learned along the way that have reshaped my entire life.
How to Change a Negative Mindset and Create An Extraordinary Life
1. Change Your Self-Image
“The most important psychological discovery of this century is the discovery of the self-image. Whether we realize it or not, each of us carries with us a mental blueprint or picture of ourselves. The self-image is our own conception of the sort of person I am. It has been built up from our own beliefs about ourselves.” - Maxwell Maltz
If you want to learn how to change a negative mindset, start by evaluating your self-image. Because as I’ve mentioned in other posts and videos, your self image controls everything in your life. It controls your relationship with money, relationships with other people, how you view the world, and every single habit (good or bad).
So if you aren’t successful in a specific area of life and want to change, start by looking inside first. Most people do the opposite. Instead of trying to “do” more, start by looking at who you are being that created this result you want to change.
All change starts from the inside. Think about how your past has shaped your views on the world. Realize that if you want to change any belief that is holding you back, you can. But no one else can do it for you.
Remember, you aren’t required to go through life with the same beliefs as your parents, teachers or friends. You get to choose so make sure you understand how your past has shaped you. Then, get clear about what you want so you can use the power of your mind to get it.
2. Create a Clear Vision for Your Future
Your mind is like a heat-seeking missile, it wants to help you achieve your goals and dreams. But the problem is, most people don't give their mind a clear direction on where to go. If anything, people know what they don’t want but few know what they actually do want.
Imagine going on a road trip without putting in a destination on the GPS. Where would you end up?
The answer of course is nowhere!
This metaphor is how most people live their lives. Most people go through the motions without a clear goal other than getting by.
But life is too short to act like a zombie.
If you don’t have a clear vision for your future, you are wasting the true potential of your mind. Instead, you need to give your mind a detailed image of what you want to achieve, in every area of your life.
This will do two things.
First, it will help you learn how to change a negative mindset by focusing on a future of positive results. Second, it will help you achieve your goals just as a torpedo seeks its target.
Your mind will help attract the right people to you, help you learn the right skills, and achieve more than you thought possible. But remember, you can’t do it with a negative mindset.
Train your brain for success by constantly focusing on what you want and believe it can happen!
3. Invest in Yourself
If you want life to change, you have to change. It’s the only way it is going to happen.
One of the best ways I’ve found to create lasting change is investing in yourself. Whether that’s buying an online course, hiring a coach or joining a mastermind, these are the things that will move the needle.
As Tony Robbins said, “Success always leaves clues.” So instead of reinventing the wheel, follow the clues of people who are where you want to be in life and business.
Quit trying to do everything on your own and get a clear blueprint from someone who has already achieved it. By immersing yourself in new ideas and surrounding yourself with new people you will begin to change your self-image. You will level up and start to transform your life from the inside out.

These three tips can change a negative mindset into a positive one if you choose to apply them. Remember, it all starts by understanding who you are. Your self-image and how you think about yourself inside, determines your reality. Spend the necessary time to understand how your mind has held you back in the past and commit to creating a positive mindset for the future.
The next step is getting clear about what you want in life. As you get clear and align yourself with a goal, then real change can begin. Once your mindset changes, everything on the outside will change along with it.
